Schooner Creek Transfer Station Operational Change
Schooner Creek Transfer Station will be making a change to the Saturday dump operations. Effective Sat. June 4th, 2022, from 8am to 4pm, all public customers will need to use our location across the street from the current dump location to dispose of your garbage, metal, and woody debris. Look for the balloons and sandwich boards to alert you to the new dump location. The current dump location will now be closed on all Saturdays.
Customers will need to drive into our location located at 288 S. Anderson Creek Road (just prior to the current dump entrance). We will have staff present to direct you to our scale shack, for an inbound weight. Customers will then be directed to the appropriate building where you will offload your garbage, woody debris, or metal, then proceed back to the scale shack for an outbound weight and payment.
There is a $15 minimum charge, or a charge of $0.057 per pound, whichever is greater, on your net weight for garbage and woody debris. Metal remains free of charge.
With the increased usage of the dump on Saturdays, many of you have found long lines and wait times. Simply put, we have outgrown the “Dump”. We are confident making this change will be more efficient and streamlined for customers, reducing your wait times, and avoiding long lines.
We appreciate your business and support while we adjust to the increased customers on Saturday! If you have any questions regarding this change, please feel free to contact our office at (541) 994-5555 M-TH 8am to 5pm & Fri 8am-4pm.
