12/27/23 Employee Spotlight: Don Peters

This week's employee spotlight is Don Peters! Don has been with us since October 2018, which means he just hit his 5 year mark.

You probably recognize him from his tenure as a mailman throughout all of Lincoln City... We're lucky enough that he now works at the NLSS recycling center and transfer station part-time to help with other employee's vacation time or for extra help when we're busy. He is such an asset to our team with his ability to learn any job we can throw at him and calling him last minute to help when someone is out sick or on vacation. He is reliable, dependent, and everyone who knows him loves him! We are so grateful he decided to be a part of the NLSS team.

Here are some fun facts about Don:

• What made you decide to work at NLSS?

Lon French asked if I would be interested in working part-time. I said sure, and I've never regretted it! ❤️

• What are your hobbies?

I like to shoot guns, hunt, fish, go on long trips, collect coins, bowl, play pool, watch football, play games, and more (Don is a busy man 😄)!

• What's your favorite thing about living on the coast?

It's a beautiful place to live! You have the ocean beaches with miles to walk and explore and all the beautiful forests... The summers are beautiful and the weather is better than hurricanes, tornadoes, 120° temperatures, and 10ft of snow. I love where I live! 🌊
