11/25/23 Employee Spotlight: Lonnie West

Lonnie is a Recycling and Garbage Truck Driver, so he knows the routes through Lincoln City, Lincoln County, and Depoe Bay pretty well by now. He has plenty of regulars that are always saying "hi" during his route and he makes sure to wave back every day! He's an avid member of the community whether it's coaching baseball, football, or organizing fundraisers for people in need (Check out the Ride for Maui Facebook Page where he raised $15,000 for Maui fire victims).

Just this past weekend, his 11-year-old daughter Harley West was diagnosed with Leukemia & their family is in need of our community's support. • Why did you decide to work at NLSS?

The opportunity to give my family a stable and good life. I have three daughters, one son, and a wonderful wife! 👶👧👩👦👩

• What's your favorite memory while working at NLSS?

The day Lon French tried pulling a garbage truck out of a ditch with his GMC Pickup. 🛻

• What are your hobbies?

Building and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, coaching my son's sports, and spending time with my beautiful family. 🏍
