We haul all of the mixed compost to Pacific Region Compost facility in Corvallis that processes it all into nutrient rich compost in just 70-days. As a reminder, "If it grows, it goes!"

Here is the list of what IS acceptable in your mixed compost:

• Fruits & vegetables
• Meat & seafood
• Poultry
• Bones
• Grains, beans, pasta & bread
• Eggshells & dairy products
• Tea bags, coffee grounds/filters
• Sawdust
• Floral trimmings & grass clippings
• Brush, weeds & leaves
• Tree branches & twigs
• Roots & garden debris

The items below are NOT accepted:

• Any compostable foodware
• Plastic bags/wrap/straw
• Styrofoam
• Bottles & cans
• Aluminum foil
• Liquids
• To-go food boxes
• Hazardous waste, diapers, & animal waste
