Happy Earth Day! At North Lincoln Sanitary, we celebrated with our annual Compost Giveaway Event and are continuing the celebration with City of Lincoln City and City of Depoe Bay with the city clean ups. We want to be sure the coast shows its beauty for many years to come.
Earth Day Tips:
🌱 Prevent waste through changes in the design, purchase, and use of materials. This has the potential for huge environmental benefits because it reduces impact over all the stages of the life cycle of materials: resource extraction, manufacturing, transportation and end-of-life management (such as recycling or disposal).
🌲 Recycle right to save natural resources, prevent pollution, and reduce waste sent to landfills.
🍀 Don't waste your food! Find new recipes with items already in your fridge. Every time food is wasted, we're wasting the resources that went into producing it. If you have to throw food away, be sure it's in your mixed compost roll cart.
